An exciting opportunity has become available within the North side of Kirklees for an experienced, motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Community Nursing Network as a Band 6 Senior Community Nurse (37.5 hours per week, full time).
This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role, supporting our teams to deliver exceptional care across North Kirklees and Greater Huddersfield.
As a Band 6 Senior Community Nurse, you will combine clinical expertise with leadership skills to ensure safe, effective and person-centred care. You will act as a role model, mentor and decision-maker, supporting colleagues, driving improvements in patient outcomes and providing operational leadership in the absence of the Team Leader.
This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week. Our service operates between 8am and 9pm, with core hours of 8am to 5pm. Successful candidates will be expected to work a minimum of one weekend in four and undertake two late shifts (1pm to 9pm) within a four-week period.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate care for patients with complex needs, ensuring high standards of clinical practice. Provide guidance, supervision and mentorship to Band 5 nurses and wider team members. Delegate tasks effectively to ensure efficient use of resources and timely delivery of care. Support service development initiatives and contribute to quality improvement projects. Act as a point of escalation for clinical decision-making and safeguarding concerns. Provide operational and clinical leadership in the absence of the Team Leader, supporting the coordination of staffing, workload and service delivery. What We're Looking For
A Registered Nurse with substantial community nursing experience and a passion for leadership. Strong clinical knowledge with the ability to manage complex caseloads. Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.This role is not applicable for sponsorship and candidates must be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK.
