Work Experience Job Summary We are seeking a Gas Turbine Structures Design Engineer with strong expertise in PTC Creo to design and develop structural components and assemblies for gas turbine systems. The role involves structural layout design, detailed modeling, drafting, packaging, integration, and engineering support throughout the product lifecycle. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of turbomachinery structures, mechanical design principles, and manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop gas turbine structural components and assemblies using Creo. • Create 3D models, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation. • Design turbine support structures, frames, baseplates, skids, enclosures, ducts, brackets, and mounting arrangements. • Perform component packaging and assembly integration studies. • Generate and maintain BOMs, CAD data, and product structures. • Apply GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure manufacturability and assembly requirements. • Support design reviews, engineering changes, and product improvements. • Collaborate with stress, thermal, manufacturing, quality, and installation teams. • Resolve manufacturing, assembly, and field-related design issues. • Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality requirements, and engineering best practices. Mandatory Skills • Strong hands-on experience in PTC Creo (Part Modelling, Assembly, Detailing). • Mechanical design experience in Gas Turbine, Turbomachinery, or Rotating Equipment. • Structural design and development of mechanical systems and assemblies. • Engineering drawing interpretation and creation. • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). • Tolerance analysis and fitment studies. • BOM creation and product structure management. • Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA). • Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECR). Preferred Skills • Windchill PLM. • Turbine package structural design. • Sheet metal and welded structure design. • Structural support and skid design. • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) exposure using ANSYS or similar tools. • Knowledge of ASME standards and mechanical design practices. • Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
