Seasonal Role (90-120 days)Job Title: E-Commerce SpecialistJob DescriptionThe E-Commerce Specialist plays a key role in seasonal order fulfillment operations by providing friendly, responsive customer service and ensuring that every online order is processed accurately and shipped on time. This position combines hands-on order processing with direct customer interaction via phone and email, supporting a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and contributing to a smooth, positive experience for every customer.Responsibilities
• Provide friendly, responsive customer service via phone and email, addressing inquiries, questions, and concerns in a professional manner. • Process e-commerce orders accurately and efficiently through the fulfillment system, ensuring all order details are correctly entered. • Perform quality assurance checks on outgoing orders to verify accuracy and completeness before shipment. • Answer incoming phone calls from customers and provide clear, helpful information and support. • Respond to customer emails promptly, maintaining a professional tone and thorough, accurate responses. • Communicate regularly with leadership on order status, issues, and daily fulfillment progress to keep operations running smoothly. • Collaborate closely with team members to meet daily shipping deadlines and support overall fulfillment goals. • Flag and escalate order or product issues as needed to ensure timely resolution and protect the customer experience. • Handle order entry and data entry tasks, including Excel data entry, to maintain accurate records within order management and support systems. • Utilize customer support tools and systems, including inbound call handling and SAP or similar platforms, to manage orders and customer interactions. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective phone and email interaction with customers and internal teams. • Customer service skills with a customer-first attitude and the ability to provide friendly, professional support. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining composure and focus. • High level of attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy in order processing and quality assurance checks. • Basic computer proficiency, including email, order management systems, and spreadsheets such as Excel. • Ability to multitask across phone, email, and order processing duties without compromising quality or responsiveness. • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in fulfillment and customer support. • Capability to manage inbound calls and support requests efficiently and professionally. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in customer service, vendor management, or customer support roles is a plus. • Background in order entry, data entry, or Excel data entry is beneficial. • Familiarity with e-commerce operations, support tools, or fulfillment processes is an advantage. • Experience using SAP or similar enterprise systems for order and data management is helpful. • Prior fulfillment or warehouse experience is preferred but not required. • Comfort working with written and verbal communication tools, including phone systems and email platforms. Work EnvironmentThis role is fully onsite in an office environment, working closely with a team focused on e-commerce order fulfillment and customer support. The setting is fast-paced and deadline-driven, with daily shipping goals and a strong emphasis on accuracy and customer satisfaction. You will use computers, email, order management systems, spreadsheets, and tools such as SAP to process orders and communicate with customers and internal stakeholders. The work involves regular phone and email interaction, collaboration with colleagues, and adherence to established processes that support a reliable, efficient fulfillment operation. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Memphis, TN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
