THE OPPORTUNITY Join Abbott Nutrition Supply Chain (ANSC) and play a key role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across our Granada manufacturing site. As the Operational Excellence Engineer, you will lead the site OpEx program, leveraging Lean Six Sigma methodologies, change management practices, project management tools, and influencing skills to enhance business performance, strengthen capabilities, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Accountable of site training program: Identifying training necessities; acquiring knowledge of the company’s business processes benchmarking with Abbott or external sites and participating in international Community of Practice (CoPs); and conveying this knowledge to the organization through leading or coordination of proper training activities. Support the OpEx Roadmap, being accountable of milestones definition aligned with business strategy. • Lead and promote the use of OpEx techniques and tools such as Standard Work, Manufacturing Operating System (MOS), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 6S and Visual Management Control. Assume role of Subject Matter Expert Coaching and Mentoring people of the organization. • Accountable for continuous improvement programs leading actively improvement projects and the coordination of whole portfolio initiatives trough OpEx RoadMaps. • Lead cross-functional teams managing RCA, strategic projects and support plant shutdowns, applying LSS methodology and communication tools. • Support to the LSS certification process (Yellow Belt, RCA, Value Stream Mapping (VSM)) enhancing OpEx culture and skills through the organization. • Lead Key Performance Indicators (KPI) related with OpEx and supervise rest of business KPI. • Besides the major accountabilities for this position, the jobholder will be accountable of Operational Excellence Maturity Assessments process of the site: leading internal assessments and coordinating divisional ones. • To be really effective, position requires: Promote Abbott&Site culture and good skills of commit and influence others as facilitator of Continuous Improvement tools.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Operations, Business, or a related discipline. • At least 1 year of professional experience in manufacturing, operations, engineering, science or operational excellence environments. • Knowledge of manufacturing site processes, systems, and organizational dynamics. • Proven experience leading continuous improvement programs. • Demonstrated expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies and project management. • Experience in change management. • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal. SKILLS / PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a role within a manufacturing plant or R&D environment is highly preferred. • Advanced knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies, Green Belt certification is desirable. • Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and problem-solving techniques. • Skills in training content development, including training videos and digital learning materials, are desirable. • Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and impactful presentations. • Ability to coach, mentor, and develop others. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks through effective planning and prioritization. • Proven track record of fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. • Understanding of Abbott culture and manufacturing operations, and their connection to the broader corporate organization, is desirable.
