Join the Bethany Team! The Bethany Community School is an elementary school, grades PK to 6, located in central Bethany on an extensive rural campus. The Math Tutor is responsible for providing academic support to individual students or small groups of students to help them succeed. Assists the teacher in providing a well-organized, smoothly functioning class environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials. Work Schedule: 28.75 hours per week/5.75 hours per day/9:00 am to 3:15 pm Pay Rate: $50.00 per hour Benefits: Paid sick time, unpaid personal time, no health benefits Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or higher, is required.
• Valid Connecticut State Department of Education Certification in Elementary Education, Special Education or Mathematics (029, 229)preferred.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong skills and concepts in mathematics.
• Experience with developmentally appropriate, inquiry-based teaching and learning.
• Knowledge of differentiation for high-achieving and struggling learners, preferred.
• Instructional technology skills.
• Experience with Scientific Research-Based Intervention (MTSS), preferred.
