Future Teachers Student Teacher Recruitment Event 2027-2028 Teaching Opportunities Open to Current Student Teachers Only Are you currently completing your student teaching and preparing to begin your career as an educator? Montgomery County Public Schools (VA) invites current student teachers and teacher preparation candidates to apply for an interview with one of our school administrators for anticipated full-time teaching opportunities for the 2027–2028 school year. Our Student Teacher Recruitment event will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Who Should Apply? We encourage applications from candidates who:
• Are currently completing student teaching or a teacher preparation program;
• Anticipate completing their program before the beginning of the 2027–2028 school year;
• Are eligible for, or anticipate becoming eligible for, a Virginia teaching license;
• Are passionate about helping students learn and succeed;
• Value collaboration with students, families, colleagues, and the school community; and
• Are excited to begin their teaching career with MCPS.
Please note: If you are not a current student teacher but interested in teaching opportunities with MCPS (VA) during the 2027-2028 school year, we will be posting for those positions soon.
