We have multiple opportunities for Band 6 Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapists to join our Children's Integrated Therapies Service (CITS) in Hillingdon.
This is an exciting time to join us. As our service develops, you'll have opportunities to bring your ideas, contribute to service development and help shape how we work.
You'll work with children and young people aged 0-19, providing specialist assessment and intervention to help them overcome barriers to participation. You'll work closely with children, young people and families, schools, SEND colleagues, social care and our wider MDT.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about paediatric OT, confident in their clinical decision-making and autonomous practice, collaborative, open to new ideas and committed to developing themselves and supporting others.

This post attracts a Recruitment and Retention premium of up to 10% of basic salary.

Main duties of the job
As a Band 6 Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will use your specialist clinical knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality, evidence-based assessment and intervention to children and young people across a range of settings and needs.
You will manage your own complex caseload autonomously, working across schools, children's centres, nurseries, homes and clinics. You will need to prioritise effectively, work safely as a lone practitioner and recognise when to seek support from your supervisor or team leader.
You will use your clinical reasoning to develop and deliver clear, outcome-focused care plans and provide concise, high-quality clinical documentation.
You will work within relevant legal and professional frameworks, including EHCP statutory assessments, SEND guidance and safeguarding procedures.
Working collaboratively is central to this role. You will involve children, young people and families in planning their care and work closely with schools, education, social care and the wider multidisciplinary team.
You will also contribute to the development of others through mentoring, joint working, supervision and training, and will have opportunities to take on delegated leadership responsibilities and contribute to service development, audit and quality improvement.

Job description Job responsibilities
As a member of the Childrens Integrated Therapies Service, you will:
Provide specialist, evidence-based occupational therapy assessment and intervention to children and young people aged 019 across a range of needs and community settings. Manage a complex caseload independently, prioritising effectively and accessing clinical supervision and support appropriately. Develop clear, outcome-focused packages of care based on assessment, clinical reasoning and best practice. Use specialist clinical knowledge to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate occupational therapy interventions and demonstrate clinical effectiveness through outcome measures. Work collaboratively with children, young people and families, ensuring they are involved in planning and implementing their care. Work closely with schools, education and social care colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide a coordinated approach around the child and family. Communicate complex assessment and therapy information clearly and sensitively, adapting communication to individual needs. Maintain high standards of clinical documentation, safeguarding, risk management, consent and professional practice. Provide mentoring, supervision, training and clinical support to less experienced Occupational Therapists, assistants, students and other colleagues as appropriate. Contribute to in-house training, joint consultations and training packages for parents, schools and other professionals. Take part in audit, research, quality improvement and service development activities, identifying opportunities for improvement and contributing to solutions. Take delegated responsibility for specific team objectives, projects, workstreams or service developments. Contribute to the day-to-day functioning of the Occupational Therapy team and provide constructive feedback and ideas to support service development. Education and Qualification Essential
Recognised OT Degree qualification or equivalent OT HCPC registration Successful completion of post grad specialist short courses

Previous Experience Essential
