Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic Pre-Assessment team, currently implementing some exciting changes to expand the service.
There are 2 full time roles available. You will be expected to work in both of the pre-assessment clinics within the hospital. You will work both independently and as part of a team conducting both face to face and telephone assessments to a high standard. You will provide information to elective patients and ensure safe and efficient pre-operative assessment, working within the multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidates will be provided with full training and comprehensive sign off prior to allocation of clinics.
Main duties of the job
work as a team member and independently, manage caseload of elective pre-operative assessment clinics ensure patients are prepared for their elective surgery promote pre-operative health optimisation. provide face to face and telephone assessments of patients. assessment of Wellbeing Questionnaires. recognition of risk factors and appropriate referrals. accurate documentation. blood sampling, MRSA sampling and ECG recording as required. Checking and interpreting blood results and escalating as required
