Job summary
We have an opportunity for an experienced and committed pharmacy technician to join the East London NHS Foundation Trust Pharmacy bank. The post holder will lead on a full range of dispensing activities, using their enthusiasm to motivate the team to meet department deadlines, as well as participating in the line management of junior staff. You will use pharmacy computer systems and robotics to co-ordinate and maintain the supply of medicines.
You should have great communication and interpersonal skills; be calm, flexible and adaptable; and be able to work in a dynamic environment.
You will be expected to develop good working relationships with other staff within pharmacy and with the multidisciplinary team.
All applicants must have completed a BTEC / NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent and be registered as a pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.You will possess an accreditation in medicines management training (AIMMS/MOPs) and have completed accredited checking technician training (ACPT) .

To assist with the provision of a high quality pharmacy service to patients of the Trust To undertake general dispensary, stores and procurement activities To take a lead in the day-to-day running of the Department To maintain the ACPT qualification To line manage, train and support junior staff.

Educational/ Qualification Essential
GPhC approved level 3 pharmacy services/technician qualification/course (i.e. BTEC/City & Guilds/NVQ3) or equivalent Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC or eligible to be registered Completed final accuracy checking training as part of the pharmacy technician qualification (post-2020) OR accredited with a final accuracy checking (ACPT) qualification Completed medicines optimisation training as part of the pharmacy technician qualification (post-2020) OR accredited with a medicine's optimisation qualification (AIMMs/MOPs)
