We are delighted to be offering an exciting opportunity for a Charge Nurse to join our dynamic team on Clover Ward, Mother and Baby Unit at Melbury Lodge.
Perinatal Mental Health is a very rewarding area to work, where outcomes can benefit the whole family and next generations! The service offers great training and development opportunities we have from specialist Perinatal training courses across the country as well as psychological interventions training, which is pivotal to our therapeutic approach to care on the ward.
We are looking to appoint nurses who are highly motivated, enthusiastic, flexible, and resourceful individuals who are committed to providing high quality innovative care. You will be joining a passionate and dynamic MDT, where everyone's voice matters and the team work collaboratively to support and empower our patient in their recovery.
Melbury Lodge is located close to the Solent Coast and the beautiful New Forest National Park and have excellent transportation links, either by rail (direct to Waterloo) and by road (M3/M27).
Please note this a part time role for 30 hours per week
Main duties of the job
To assess, plan, implement and evaluate the nursing care needs of service users.To participate in professional meetings as required or identified.To mentor, supervise and teach qualified and unqualified staff including students.To manage the clinical area on a shift-by-shift basis.To participate in the recruitment, deployment, and management of staff.To deputise the ward manager as required.Developing and involving in QI on the ward.To act as the Duty Senior Nurse for the unit when allocated.To participate and facilitate bed management and patient flow.
