Job summary
Deben Health Group PCN is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable business administration apprentice to join our friendly, award-winning team. This is a supported learning role where you will gain practical experience while working towards a recognised Business Administrator apprenticeship. With training and supervision, you will learn how to use digital systems, process documents and correspondence, manage routine tasks and enquiries, prepare letters, maintain accurate records and support patients, clinicians and support administrative teams across the PCN.

Main duties of the job
How professional administration supports safe and effective primary care. How to use Microsoft 365, NHS email, SystmOne and approved digital systems. How to prepare correspondence, process documents and maintain accurate records. How to communicate helpfully and professionally with patients, colleagues and partner services. How to manage priorities, work as part of a team and contribute ideas for improvement. How to protect confidential information and recognise when an issue needs to be escalated.
About us Deben Primary Care Network support approximately 38,500 patients across Wickham Market Medical Centre, Peninsula Practice, Little St John Street Surgery and Framfield House Surgery.

Experience Essential
Enthusiastic about learning and committed to completing the apprenticeship. Has basic digital skills and is keen to develop confidence with new systems. Communicates clearly, politely and respectfully. Organised, reliable and pays attention to detail. Works well as part of a team and is willing to ask questions. Understands the importance of confidentiality and professional behaviour. Can attend workplace and apprenticeship learning reliably.
