Job summary

Are you an inspirational leader with a passion for improving the lives of young people with eating disorders?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated professional to join our specialist Eating Disorder Service as an Assistant Team Manager (30 hours).

This is an exciting opportunity for a registered Mental Health Nurse, Children's Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, or Allied Health Professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and supporting service development.

In this rewarding role, you will spend 50% of your time providing operational leadership and support to the team, and 50% delivering direct clinical interventions to young people and their families. This unique balance allows you to maintain and develop your clinical expertise while gaining valuable leadership experience.

The service offers Family-Based Treatment at the heart of our approach. We also provide a range of innovative individual and group interventions designed to support young people on their recovery journey.

You will join a large, supportive, and highly skilled multidisciplinary team that is committed to clinical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. Clinical and operational leaders work collaboratively to ensure the best possible outcomes for young people and their families.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible and provide effective case holding and leadership for a clinical CAMHS team.

To provide a high-quality service.

To support and coordinate team functioning with particular focus on;

Management of cases including delivery of care

Clinical leadership.

Performance monitoring and management

Line Management and supervision of staff.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Registered professional with relevant live registration with a professional body. Post basic relevant study equivalent to degree level and relevant to service area Commitment to ongoing professional development Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., ENB 998 or mentorship qualification

Experience Essential

Previous experience at a senior level (band 6 or above) within a similar speciality Extensive post qualifying experience in mental health services Able to manage a caseload of children and young people with complex mental health needs Comprehensive knowledge of interventions specific to CAMHS Awareness of service operational policy Experience of supervising staff and students Experience of leading teams To provide supervision for staff including clinical, managerial, and professional Experience of staff recruitment and selection, absence management and other staff related issues.
