About this role
Responsibilities:
Check incoming food for quality and quantity of productsEnsure proper date codes are in place and refrigerated racks are clean at all timesMaintain storage, security, and rotation of food as per HACCP regulationsDaily issuing & receiving of stock items from store rooms areaInspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documentsRecord shortages and reject damaged goodsOversee the loading and unloading of the goodsOrganize and keeps the storeroom in an orderly and hygienic mannerDaily inventory and place orders through PurchasingAdvise Purchasing of any issues with products or suppliersOther duties as assignedLocation: 2950 Convair Drive, Toronto, ON L5P1A2
Reporting to: Storeroom Supervisor
Schedule: Rotational Monday- Sunday, flexible shift times
Qualifications
Shipping/receiving experience is an assetMust have basic Food Safe Level 1 or equivalent knowledge of food handling proceduresMust be able to work in freezers/coolers (1-4 hours/day)Must be able to operate pump truckAbility to lift items up to 20Kg at shoulder & height levelHACCP training is an assetMust be able to work in a fast paced environment with large volume of food productsAbility to read and write in EnglishEffective problem solving skillsDetail orientated
