Responsibilities:
Oversee Storeroom procedures of all incoming and outgoing goodsManage a dedicated team including scheduling, training, discipline and performance evaluation(s)Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the storeroomCheck incoming food for quality and quantity of products, ensure timely put awayRecord shortages and reject damaged goodsOversee the loading and unloading of the goodsMaintain storage, security, and rotation of food as per HACCP regulationsOrganize and keeps the Storeroom in an orderly and hygienic mannerDaily inventory and place orders through PurchasingAdvise Purchasing of any issues with products or suppliersEnsures that stocks and supplies are adequate, and are stored in a manner that preserves their quality (following FIFO procedures)Communicate with other levels of management and make recommendations regarding non-usable, slow-moving and excess stockResolve discrepancies between inventory and stock-control records Qualifications
3+ years Supervisor experience in a grocery/ food store environmentAbility to work in high volume of food productsExperience in coaching, delegating and disciplining employeesAbility to Supervise 10-15 employees (unionized)Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Food Knowledge (Mandatory)Must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills; both written and verbalMust have admirable interpersonal skills and leadership skills, and be comfortable working with all levels of staff and management in a fast-paced, multicultural environmentMust demonstrate working knowledge of HACCP protocolsAbility to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrate decision making and critical thinking skillsAbility to implement and manage processesFamiliar with inventory management systemsLocation: Mississauga, ON

Schedule: Rotational Monday- Sunday, flexible shift times
