About this role
The City of Mission Recreation Department is seeking qualified and enthusiastic fitness instructors to teach a variety of land fitness classes. The successful candidates will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive environment by demonstrating proper form, techniques, and modifications while providing clear and precise instruction. Applicants must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
The successful candidate must hold a recognized fitness certification, such as Group Fitness Instructor registration with BCRPA or CFES, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. In addition, current Standard First Aid, CPR-C, and AED certifications are required.
Flexible availability is required for this position, as classes may be scheduled during mornings, evenings, and weekends.
The hourly rate of pay for this position is $31.78/hour, plus 4% vacation pay.
This position will be included in the CUPE bargaining unit once agreement on the terms & conditions of employment are finalized
