CEDA is currently looking to hire 4 Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentice for our truck shop in the Fort McMurray located at 180 MacLennan Crescent. Preventative maintenance on Hydrovacs, Wet Vaccuum, Combo and Water trucks; High Pressure Water Blasting Equipment, Highway tractors and trailers (Peterbilt, Western Star, Kenworth)Ongoing diagnostic and repair of diesel engines & after treatment. (Cummins, CAT, Detroit, and John Deere)Hydraulic & PTO diagnostic and repairClutches, transmissions & differentialsVacuum pump & blower repairBurner diagnostic & repairCommercial Vehicle InspectionsTroubleshoot issues, inspect equipment and replace or repair defective partsInterpret work ordersWork alongside apprentices and delegate workAttend daily tool box and safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations Role Specifications
Must be a registered (On-Road) Apprentice.Valid Class 5 licence with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years is requiredValid Class 1 or 3 license would be an assetWeight handling of up to 50 lbsExperience in hydraulic, electrical, and pump systems is an assetAble to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol testAble to provide your own tools Skills
