Position Summary and Key Responsibilities
A Bindery Operator (bookbinder) is responsible for setting up and operating industrial bindery equipment to produce quality finished products and will perform the following:
Set-up and operate bookbinding equipment related to cutting, collating, folding, stitching, and stamping.Adjust machinery to ensure efficient operation and quality finishing is maintained.Review job orders to determine production time and quantities required.Various other duties and responsibilities. Legally eligible to work in CanadaFluent in English (speak, read, write)Able to obtain (in a timely manner) and maintain Government of Canada Secret (Level II) security clearanceAbility to perform physical activities associated with the position, such as standing, walking, bending, lifting/lowering up to 75lbsAbility to work all shift schedules including days, nights, evenings, and overtime as requiredHigh likelihood that this will be a night shift position (3 nights on/4 nights off)7.5% wage premium for night shiftCandidates must have:
3+ years of relevant experience working in a bindery environment.Equipment and Soft Skills
