Position Summary:
Responsible for meeting and greeting residents, guests, suppliers and vendors in a memory care setting. Monitors visitors entering the building and ensures that they sign-in. Answers/transfers incoming phone calls and handles switchboard to respond to all communication needs and inquiries.
Essential Job Functions:
Serve as receptionist and greet all guests, suppliers and vendors, and outside service providers.
Distribute packages, business mail and magazines.
Provide on-going switchboard telephone coverage.
Maintain visitor sign-in logs.
Monitor closed circuit security TV cameras and fire board alarm (where applicable)
Maintain security for admittance to all entries accessible to the public.
Prepare maintenance work orders as requested by residents and staff.
Prepare correspondence, memos, and other documents.
Responsible for data entry of general resident information using computer software system.

Education Required (Preferred):
High School diploma or equivalent in education, training and experience
Years/Months of Experience:
One year of experience working as a Receptionist/Switchboard Operator Prefer experience in senior housing environment.
Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of telephone/switchboard operations Organization Excellent Communication skills Ability to multi-task Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products.

Doctor’s statement verifying free from communicable disease

Physical requirements of the job:
Sedentary work – exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
Visual acuity requirements, including color, depth perception and field of visions:
Clerical/Administrative -including the work of people who do analysis of data, work at a computer terminal, and read. Environmental Factors: None – the worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
