About this role
We are looking for a part time fixed term Technician to join our Pathogens Team based at our Lynfield Laboratory. Successful applicants will be responsible for carrying out Microbiological analysis on routine samples and ensure our customer's products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Your key duties will involve:
Complete sample testing within the given turn-around-time (TAT)Strictly adhere to all laboratory and regulatory quality assurance proceduresEnsure all relevant records are kept up to date at all timesMaintain a clean and tidy work areaParticipate and contribute to working safelyBe actively involved in all the day to day improvement activitiesOur laboratory is open 7 days a week and flexibility to work overtime at short notice is ideal. The roster on offer is Saturday and Sunday. The successful applicant will be working a minimum of 16 hours per week.

Recent graduateExperience in a similar environment or worked in Retail or HospitalityPassionate about Microbiology as a careerGood hand and eye co-ordinationStrong attention to detailAbility to work under pressureExcellent time management and organisational skillClear communication (both written and verbal) BSc Microbiology or Food Science
