About this role

Comply at all times with Fairmont standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.Lead the stewarding and culinary team in compliance with TEHC audit.Schedule all supervisors and stewards to meet labor standards.Ensure accurate payroll process completed bi-weekly.Be the main liaison with the night cleaning company.Train all stewarding staff to perform duties above standardsSupervise and maintain the sanitation of kitchen, storerooms, hallways, dock and equipmentEnsure compliance with Health Department standards as well as TEHC internal auditWork with the Chef, F&B Director, Catering team and Banquets team to anticipate equipment needsEnsure assistance is provided for all Banquet functionsAttend BEO meetings and update BEOs based on Change Log & RevisionsMust know and assist with all supervisor/steward dutiesOrder and control inventory of all cleaning compoundsTake physical inventories of China, glass, silver, paper and cleaning suppliesAttend meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among company employees and promote maximum morale, productivity, and efficiencyLead all talent management initiatives including reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions.Lead recruitment initiatives and talent selection for the department.Promote positive and engaging work environment for the entire Stewarding department.Prepare daily, weekly, monthly labor programs report.Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform, and PPE.Other duties as required or assigned.

High school diploma required3-year leadership experience in Stewarding or related department requiredAt least two years of experience in a hotel or related field required.Bilingual English/Spanish preferredMust be able to convey information and ideas clearly.Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.Must be effective at handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests.
