We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Health & Safety Manager to join our organization in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health and safety programs that protect our workforce and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, decisive leadership, and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety excellence across all organizational levels.
Develop, implement, and oversee health and safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with UAE labor laws and international safety standardsConduct comprehensive risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential workplace dangers and recommend appropriate control measuresInvestigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actionsMaintain detailed safety documentation, records, and reports; ensure accurate reporting to regulatory authorities as requiredOrganize and deliver safety training programs to employees at all levels, including induction, toolbox talks, and specialized safety coursesPerform regular safety audits and inspections of facilities, equipment, and work practices to ensure ongoing complianceCollaborate with department managers and supervisors to integrate safety requirements into daily operations and project planningDevelop and maintain emergency response and evacuation procedures; coordinate drills and training exercisesMonitor safety performance metrics and key performance indicators; prepare reports for management reviewStay current with changes in health and safety regulations and industry best practices; update policies accordinglyServe as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external safety consultants Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a health and safety management role within a corporate or industrial environmentIn-depth knowledge of UAE labor laws, regulations, and occupational health and safety requirementsStrong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and hazard identification techniquesDemonstrated expertise in incident investigation and root cause analysisProficiency in developing and implementing safety management systems and programsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressureStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain detailed documentationExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to deliver training and present to diverse audiencesProficiency in Microsoft Office applications and safety management softwareFamiliarity with ISO 45001 or similar occupational health and safety management standards (preferred)Experience in construction, manufacturing, oil and gas, or industrial sectors (preferred)Knowledge of emergency response planning and business continuity procedures (preferred)Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence safety culture at all organizational levels
