Job Purpose
The AV Manager is responsible for leading all audio-visual operations within the hotel, ensuring the seamless setup, operation, and maintenance of AV systems for events, shows, conferences, and daily operations. The role partners closely with Entertainment, Events, and operational teams to deliver high-quality, reliable, and innovative AV experiences in line with brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
AV Operations & Technical Delivery
Oversee the setup, configuration, operation, and maintenance of all AV equipment, including sound systems, microphones, projectors, LED screens, lighting systems, video conferencing tools, and control desksEnsure all AV equipment is fully functional, properly stored, and maintained; coordinate repairs and replacements when requiredPlan and manage AV setups for events, meetings, shows, and entertainment programsProvide on-site technical support during events and troubleshoot issues in real timeManage sound checks, stage setups, lighting programming, DMX addressing, wireless frequencies, and artist technical ridersTeam Leadership & Scheduling
Lead, train, and supervise the AV Supervisor and TechniciansSchedule staff and assign tasks to ensure full coverage of operational and event requirementsConduct performance reviews, coaching, and skills developmentInventory, Budget & Vendor Management
Manage AV inventory, usage records, and maintenance schedulesPrepare and control the AV department budget, including CAPEX and maintenance costsSource, evaluate, and manage vendors and service providers; negotiate contracts to ensure quality and cost efficiencyInnovation & Continuous Improvement
Stay current with emerging AV technologies and industry best practicesRecommend and implement technical upgrades and workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and guest experienceHealth, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with hotel policies, Operational Standards Manual, and ISO Integrated Management Systems (Quality, LQA, Environment, Health, Safety & Risk Management)Implement and monitor safety protocols for handling and operating AV equipmentCollaboration & Guest Experience
Work closely with Entertainment, Events, and Operations teams to align AV delivery with program objectivesMaintain strong awareness of hotel facilities, evening programs, and show schedules Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Audio-Visual Technology, Information Technology, Event Management, or a related field (preferred)Minimum 3–5 years of experience in AV management or a similar roleStrong working proficiency in EnglishKey Skills & Competencies
