About this role
Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of banquet events, conferences, and special functions to ensure seamless service deliverySupervise and train banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and kitchen personnel, to maintain high service standardsManage banquet budgets and pricing strategies to optimise revenue whilst maintaining profitabilityDevelop and maintain strong relationships with clients, corporate accounts, and external vendors to secure repeat businessEnsure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations across all banquet operationsCoordinate with the culinary team to customise menus and ensure food quality meets organisational standardsMonitor inventory levels, equipment maintenance, and supplies to ensure efficient operationsHandle client inquiries, special requests, and concerns with professionalism and promptnessPrepare detailed event proposals, contracts, and post-event reportsConduct quality assurance inspections during events to guarantee guest satisfactionManage staffing schedules and ensure adequate coverage for all banquet functionsLiaise with other hotel departments (housekeeping, maintenance, front office) to ensure integrated service deliveryIdentify opportunities for process improvements and implement cost-saving measuresMaintain detailed records of events, client preferences, and feedback for future reference
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in banquet management, events coordination, or hospitality operationsProven track record of successfully managing large-scale events and conferencesStrong knowledge of food and beverage operations, menu planning, and catering standardsExcellent supervisory and team leadership skills with experience managing diverse staffProficiency in banquet management software and hotel property management systems (PMS)Comprehensive understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations in food serviceDemonstrated ability to manage budgets, pricing strategies, and financial forecastingStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively across departmentsExcellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detailAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and special occasions**Preferred Qualifications:**
