About this role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at our prestigious hotel in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a Duty Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction levels.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring all departments work cohesively to deliver outstanding guest experiencesAct as a role model for staff, demonstrating excellent customer service skills and professional conductManage and resolve guest complaints and concerns promptly and effectivelySupervise and support front-of-house staff, including reception, concierge, and housekeeping teamsEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as hotel policies and proceduresCoordinate with various departments to address operational issues and implement improvementsHandle check-in and check-out procedures, room assignments, and special guest requestsMonitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the hotelAssist in training and developing team members to enhance their skills and performanceManage shift handovers, ensuring clear communication of important informationGenerate and analyse reports on key performance indicators, occupancy rates, and guest feedbackSupport other areas of the hotel during peak times or as needed Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel settingStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse teamExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to approach guests and build relationshipsExceptional problem-solving abilities and a calm demeanour under pressureProficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera PMS or similar systems)Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectivelyFlexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as per business demandsThorough knowledge of hotel operations, guest service standards, and industry best practicesExcellent command of English, both written and spoken (knowledge of Vietnamese or other languages is a plus)Dedication to maintaining high standards of customer service and attention to detailAbility to make quick, sound decisions in challenging situationsFamiliarity with local attractions and services in Phu Quoc to assist guests with inquiries What awaits you...
