About this role

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you are a multi-tasker and are able to work independently, performing a wide range of complex and confidential administrative duties to support your team. You communicate well with all contacts, anticipate and resolve issues, and update the team ensuring they have the tools and instruction needed for success.

Job Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director, Housekeeping, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceLead and supervise the day-to-day operation of the department to ensure service standards are followedHandle Guest concerns and react quickly, logging and notifying the proper areasActively participate in daily briefing, daily warm up and department meetingsEnsure Room Attendants are informed daily about priorities in their sectionFollow departmental policies and proceduresReport necessary maintenance itemsFollow all safety and sanitation policiesOther duties as assigned What will you bring to this role?

Proficient in English (verbal & written) essentialHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredMinimum 1 year experience in a supervisory capacity in a hotel Housekeeping environmentProven training skillsExperience with Hotel Property Management System, Micros-Fidelio desirableProactive with a meticulous eye for detailStrong organizational, supervisory and communication skillsAble to convey information and ideas clearlyAbility to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accuratelyWork well in stressful, high-pressure situationsEffective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and GuestMust be able to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work well with limited supervision

Physical Aspects of Position:

Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following:

Constant standing and walking throughout shiftFrequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbsFrequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, liftingOccasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps Salary expectations: $28.48
