About this role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Finance to lead our financial operations in Udaipur, India. This is a strategic leadership role that blends hands-on financial oversight with forward-looking analysis, supporting both day-to-day operations and longer-term organizational initiatives. The Director of Finance will work collaboratively with senior leadership and department heads to strengthen financial processes, enhance visibility into performance, and ensure the organization operates efficiently and sustainably. You will also be responsible for presenting financial data and strategic insights to senior management and stakeholders.

**Financial Oversight & Reporting**

Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and financial reportingEnsure accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsMaintain strong internal controls and transparent systems of checks and balancesCoordinate and oversee annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance in accordance with Indian financial regulationsAnalyze financial performance, identify trends, and recommend areas for improvement**Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis**

Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting initiativesDevelop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support operational and strategic decision-makingProvide variance analysis and actionable insights to leadershipSupport department heads in managing budgets and understanding financial performanceEvaluate cost structures and identify opportunities for efficiency and expense control**Strategic & Operational Support**

Partner with leadership on long-range planning, capital investments, and business strategySupport financial aspects of projects and initiatives, including budgeting, cash flow analysis, and ROI evaluationAssist in evaluating new opportunities, partnerships, and operational initiativesProvide financial insight into pricing, labor, and operational decisionsDevelop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track organizational health**Cash Management & Banking**

Oversee cash flow management and forecasting to ensure optimal liquidityMaintain and strengthen banking and lender relationshipsEnsure appropriate liquidity to support operations and capital needs**Team Leadership & Collaboration**

Provide oversight and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering professional developmentBuild a collaborative, accountable, and detail-oriented finance functionWork cross-functionally with operations, human resources, and department leadersPromote a culture of financial awareness and accountability across the organizationChampion innovative approaches to financial management and process improvement **Required Qualifications**

Minimum 5-10 years of progressive experience in a Director of Finance or equivalent senior financial leadership roleMaster's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, or professional certification (CA, CPA, or equivalent)Demonstrated expertise in financial compliance, regulatory requirements, and audit management, with knowledge of Indian financial regulations and standardsProven experience with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting in complex operational environmentsStrong proficiency in financial systems, accounting software, and data analysis toolsExcellent understanding of internal controls, risk management, and financial governance frameworksDemonstrated ability to lead and develop accounting teams while fostering a culture of accountability and accuracyExceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insightsStrong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to senior leadership and stakeholdersStrategic business acumen and ability to align financial strategy with organizational objectives**Preferred Qualifications**
