About this role
We are seeking an experienced and professional Captain Waiter/ess to join our esteemed restaurant team in the beautiful island of Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a Captain Waiter/ess, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests whilst leading and mentoring our service team.
Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the restaurant's dining areaLead, train, and motivate the waiting staff to maintain high service standardsGreet and seat guests, ensuring a warm and professional welcomeManage reservations and handle special requests or dietary requirementsProvide detailed menu information, including daily specials and wine recommendationsResolve guest complaints promptly and professionallyEnsure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standardsAssist in inventory management and stock controlCollaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service flowMaintain a clean and organised dining area at all times Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fine dining or luxury hospitalityPrevious experience in a supervisory role within food serviceExcellent customer service skills with a strong focus on guest satisfactionDemonstrated leadership abilities and team management skillsProficiency in restaurant management softwareFluent in English; additional languages are advantageousExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work under pressure and multitask effectivelyHigh school diploma or equivalent (required)Hospitality management degree or relevant certification (preferred)Valid food safety certificationIn-depth knowledge of food and beverage pairingThorough understanding of fine dining etiquette and service standardsFamiliarity with Vietnamese cuisine and culture (preferred)Willingness to work in Phu Quoc, Vietnam What awaits you...
