Maintain turf health through mowing, aerating, fertilising, and pest controlSet up and maintain course elements including bunkers, hazards, and tee markersOperate and maintain greenkeeping equipment safely and efficientlyEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations across all work areasCommunicate effectively with team members, management, and golf course usersApply golf rules and etiquette in course maintenance activitiesSupport renovation projects and ornamental area maintenance as requiredMonitor and report on course conditions and operational issuesAttend training sessions and meetings to enhance skills and knowledgeUphold The Mere's values and maintain high standards of professionalismPlease note that we believe in flexibility and multi-skilling, and you may be asked to do different tasks from time to time to enable us to meet the needs of our guests and colleagues.
NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Maintenance (or working towards) preferredPA1, PA2, PA6 spraying certificates desirableMinimum 2 years of experience in greenkeeping, sports turf, or grounds maintenanceExperience operating turf machinery including mowers, tractors, and implementsKnowledge of turf care, including mowing, aeration, irrigation, and nutritionUnderstanding of UK Health & Safety regulations, including safe machinery use and COSHHAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditionsStrong communication skills and a positive, team‑focused attitudeA passion for golf course presentation and delivering exceptional playing conditions What is in it for you?
