About this role
The Lobby Lounge Runner is responsible for delivering food and beverage orders, supporting Servers, maintaining service stations, clearing and resetting tables, and assisting with overall Lounge operations. The ideal candidate is energetic, attentive, organized, and passionate about providing exceptional hospitality.
Responsibilities:
Support Servers in delivering seamless, professional, and engaging guest experiencesDeliver food and beverage orders promptly, accurately, and according to presentation standards Verify orders for accuracy, completeness, presentation, temperature, and special requests before deliveryMaintain knowledge of the Lobby Lounge food and beverage menu, including ingredients, allergens, preparation methods, and daily offerings Communicate special requests, dietary restrictions, and allergies accurately to the appropriate team membersAssist Servers with clearing, resetting, and maintaining guest tablesRemove used plates, glassware, utensils, and service items promptly and safelyMaintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, dining areas, bar areas, and guest pathwaysStock service stations with glassware, silverware, napkins, condiments, menus, and other suppliesAssist with transporting trays, food, beverages, dishware, and service equipment safelyCommunicate effectively with Servers, Bartenders, Culinary, Stewarding, Hosts, and leadershipAssist with VIP experiences, special occasions, events, and high-volume serviceRespond promptly and professionally to guest requestsEscalate guest concerns or service issues appropriately to Servers or leadershipMaintain knowledge of Fairmont New Orleans amenities, services, dining outlets, and eventsAssist with opening and closing duties, side work, stocking, cleaning, and resetting the LoungeFollow all food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety proceduresMaintain a polished and professional appearanceUphold Fairmont New Orleans luxury hospitality standardsPerform additional duties as assigned Previous restaurant, food runner, banquet, hotel, or hospitality experience preferredLuxury hotel or upscale dining experience is an assetStrong communication and teamwork skillsExcellent attention to detailAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Ability to remain composed and professional during busy service periodsPositive, energetic, and service-oriented attitude Professional appearance and polished demeanor required Ability to follow instructions and service procedures consistently Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Must possess or be able to obtain required Louisiana food safety certifications
