Job Title: Yoga & Fitness Instructor

Position Summary
The Yoga & Fitness Instructor is responsible for delivering inspiring and motivating, safe, and personalized wellness experiences and programs for guests and members. This role combines professional yoga instruction with fitness training, tailored workout and wellness session, promoting holistic wellbeing aligned with the resort’s luxury wellness philosophy.
Key Responsibilities
Yoga
Conduct group and private yoga sessions (e.g. Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Stretching, Meditation) Sound Healing, Ashtanga, Breathwork (Pranayama),Tailor classes to different guest abilities, needs, and wellness goalsEnsure proper alignment, breathing techniques, and injury prevention
Fitness Training
Lead fitness sessions such as stretching, core training, functional training, HIIT (where appropriate), and mobility classesDesign and implement diverse workout routines to meet clients' goals, including strength training, cardio, and flexibility exercises.
Specific
Demonstrates Company’s Standards at all timesTo check and set up the daily operations and supplies of the Yoga & fitness areas and male and female changing areas according to Raffles Spa StandardTo greet the guest upon entering and leaving the Spa and fitness areas.To serve water and towel to the gym guest’s, spa reception upon arrivalTo guide the guest from the changing/ relaxation area to the fitness area and to explain them the general procedures as per the Raffles Spa StandardTo provide service promptly, courteously and accurately.To enforce all Yoga and fitness facility policies, rules and regulations.To request and collect stock and supplies in accordance with minimum stock levels (for towels, linen, food & beverage, and other minor operating supplies).To ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the section and work unit for the Spa, fitness area and changing area.To exercise regularly to maintain fitness level.To answer telephone calls and give accurate details regarding Yoga and fitness inquiries.To maintaining the cleanliness of cardio machines after every guest’s used.To offer alternatives during classes to accommodate different levels of fitness.To plan routines, choose appropriate music, and choose different movements for each set of muscles, depending on participants’ capabilities and limitations.To observe participants and inform them of corrective measures necessary for skill improvement.To teach proper breathing techniques used during physical exertion.To instruct participants in maintaining exertion levels in order to maximize benefits from exercise routines.To teach and demonstrate use of gymnastic and training equipment.To conduct therapeutic, recreational or athletic activities.To monitor participants’ progress and adapt programs as needed.To evaluate individuals’ abilities, needs, and physical conditions, and develop suitable training programs to meet any special requirements.To plan physical education programs to promote development of participants’ physical attributes and social skills.To provide guests with information and resources regarding nutrition, weight control and lifestyle issuesTo advise clients about proper clothing and shoes.To teach individual and team class to guests through instruction and demonstration, utilizing knowledge of sports techniques and of participants' physical capabilities.

Deliver exceptional, warm, and intuitive service at all timesActively engage with guests to understand their wellness needs and recommend suitable classes or spa treatmentsPromote wellness programs, classes, and spa offeringsHandle guest feedback professionally and proactivelyCreate a calming, welcoming atmosphere reflective of a luxury spa environment
Operational & Safety
Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and proper setup of yoga studios and gym areas and changing room areaMonitor equipment condition and report maintenance issuesEnforce health, safety, and emergency proceduresTo administer emergency first aid, wrap injuries, treat minor chronic disabilities, or refer injured persons to physicians.To explain and enforce safety rules and regulations governing sports, recreational activities, and the use of exercise equipment.Maintain accurate attendance records and class schedule

Work collaboratively with Spa Team, Kids Club, Retail Boutique and Recreation TeamUphold brand standards, grooming, and professional conductParticipate in wellness events, retreats, and special programsTo promote and maintain a positive working relationship at all times with all the Colleagues in HotelTo consistently offer professional, friendly and warm serviceTo demonstrate a complete understanding of Hotel Policies Procedures and Service Standards as outlined in the Company.Attend daily briefing for better understanding what is really is going on in the Operation.To adheres to the hotel policies for not getting involved in illegal activitiesReport any incidents that happens to guest at the attention of the HOD or Supervisor.Maintain respect at all time to your Manager and colleagues.Respect the Company policies in related to Meal Hours.Ensure that personal mobile is not being used during normal shifts at the Hotel.Ensures adherence to the Company Code of EthicsEnsure to notify your HOD or Supervisor 2 hours prior in case you are sick so that the Operation can be organized promptly.Ensure to sign in and out when you resume duty.To be ready to assists with services such as handle Food and drinks to our guests during the Operation. In eventuality of an Emergency we need to be able to assist with efficiency and take ownership of the situation.To be able to able to answer any guest questions related to the job itself.To report on duty punctually, in full uniform according to appearance and grooming standardsQualifications & Experience
Certified Yoga Instructor (minimum 200-hour certification)Certified Fitness Instructor or Personal Trainer preferredMinimum 1–2 years’ experience in a hotel, resort, or wellness environmentKnowledge of anatomy, stretching, injury prevention, and movement scienceKnowledge in Food and NutritionExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsFluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
