About this role
As a Plumber, you will play an integral role in preserving the comfort, safety, and seamless operation of one of Canada’s most iconic luxury mountain resorts. Through your technical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence, you will help deliver an exceptional guest experience by ensuring all plumbing systems and related infrastructure operate to the highest standards. Working within a collaborative Engineering team, you will contribute to a refined environment where reliability, professionalism, and guest comfort are paramount.
What You'll Be Doing
Guest Service & Luxury Standards
Deliver professional, engaging, and thoughtful service in alignment with Rimrock luxury standardsFollow all departmental policies, procedures, and service standardsRespond promptly to guest room and operational work orders while maintaining discretion, professionalism, and attention to cleanlinessCoordinate with operational departments when scheduling work that may impact guest-facing areasPlumbing Operations & Maintenance
Perform plumbing-related trade work across the property, including troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and installationMaintain and repair domestic water distribution systems, heating and chilled water piping systems, storm and sanitary systems, and associated equipmentRespond promptly to emergency and scheduled plumbing concerns with a focus on quality workmanship, operational continuity, and minimal guest disruptionImplement both temporary and permanent solutions to maintain system performance and guest comfortExecute preventive maintenance programs to ensure plumbing systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliablyComplete all assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner with minimal operational impactSpecialized Systems Support
Perform maintenance and repairs on kitchen plumbing systems and related equipment, including sinks, drains, and fixturesConduct minor operational checks on kitchen refrigeration equipment, including walk-in coolers and freezers, and report deficiencies to the appropriate tradeAssist with maintenance and troubleshooting of pool and spa systems, including pumps, filtration equipment, valves, piping, and water circulation componentsProjects & Continuous Improvement
Support renovation and capital projects through planning, installation, and execution activitiesContribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on system efficiency, sustainability, and operational reliabilityRemain current with evolving plumbing technologies, practices, and industry standardsIdentify deficiencies, operational risks, and opportunities for infrastructure improvementsInventory, Documentation & Equipment
Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed within the CMMS (Transcendent) systemMonitor inventory levels and communicate required parts and supplies to the Engineering leadership team to ensure operational readinessMaintain organized storage areas and appropriate inventory control practicesMaintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a clean, safe, and audit-ready conditionTeam Collaboration & Contractor Coordination
Collaborate closely with Engineering team members and provide support to other trades as requiredSupport and monitor contractor activity to ensure compliance with hotel standards, safety protocols, and project expectationsSafety & Compliance
Ensure all plumbing work complies with Alberta Building Code requirements and applicable regulationsAdhere strictly to WHMIS, OHSA, and all hotel safety policies and proceduresParticipate in emergency response situations, including leaks, flooding, and critical system failuresAdhere to hotel vehicle handling and safety policies when required What You Bring:
Valid Journeyperson Plumber certification Strong working knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and infrastructureBasic understanding of refrigeration systems an assetSolid understanding of WHMIS, OHSA, and safe work practicesHighly responsible, dependable, and capable of working independentlyAbility to remain composed and effective in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentStrong commitment to guest service excellence and operational qualityBonus If You Bring:
Previous experience within a hospitality, resort, or large-scale commercial facility environment is considered an assetFamiliarity with CMMS systems Physical Requirements:
