Role Overview
We are looking for an energetic and guest-focused Fitness / Gym Instructor to join our wellness and recreation team. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional fitness services, maintaining gym and sports facilities, and ensuring guests enjoy a safe, motivating, and high-quality fitness experience throughout their stay.
You will play a key role in promoting a healthy lifestyle, providing personalized training programs, and upholding Rixos service and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver outstanding service to all guests using the fitness center and sports facilitiesDevelop and conduct personalized exercise programs and one-on-one personal training sessions upon requestProvide fitness consultations for arriving and in-house guestsLead and support indoor and outdoor leisure and fitness activitiesEnsure gym, sports, and fitness equipment is well maintained and in excellent working conditionMaintain up-to-date equipment maintenance records and support preventive maintenance programsEnsure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety within all fitness and leisure areasMonitor guest health and wellbeing, including administering medical questionnaires where requiredManage fitness center retail operations, including stock control, inventory, and salesAssist guests with retail purchases and provide product recommendationsCover gym reception and retail areas when requiredHandle guest feedback or complaints professionally and escalate when necessaryMaintain regular follow-up with guests to monitor progress and enhance their fitness experienceStay informed about current and emerging health, fitness, and wellness trendsCompliance & Standards
Follow all Rixos policies, procedures, and operational standardsComply with ISO Integrated Management System requirements related to quality, health, safety, environment, and guest satisfactionActively contribute to risk management, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement programsBe fully familiar with emergency procedures and prepared to respond effectively Qualifications & Experience
Internationally recognized Personal Training or Group Fitness Certification (ACE, NASM, ACSM, AFAA, or equivalent)Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality or resort environmentCPR/AED certification (mandatory)High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or related field is an advantageStrong communication skills with a friendly and professional guest-focused approach What We’re Looking For
