About this role
**Responsibilities:**
Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standardsAssist senior chefs and kitchen staff in all food preparation and cooking operationsMaintain cleanliness, organization, and proper sanitation of assigned workstation and equipmentFollow all food safety, hygiene, and health protocols to ensure compliance with hotel standardsSupport mise en place activities and ensure all ingredients are properly prepared before service periodsAssist with food plating, garnishing, and presentation under the guidance of senior culinary staffRotate through different kitchen stations to develop comprehensive culinary skills and knowledgeMonitor food quality, temperature, and consistency, reporting any issues to supervisors immediatelyMaintain accurate inventory of assigned station supplies and communicate restocking needsCollaborate effectively with kitchen team members to ensure smooth and efficient service operationsRespond promptly to feedback and coaching from senior chefs to improve culinary techniquesSupport special events, banquets, and service requirements as assigned by kitchen management **Required Qualifications:**
High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen or culinary environmentCertification in Food Safety and Hygiene (or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire)Proficiency in basic knife skills and food preparation techniquesStrong understanding of food safety protocols and sanitation standardsAbility to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyExcellent teamwork and communication skillsPhysical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 kg regularly WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU:
