About this role
Operate, maintain and repair all equipment used for heating, ventilation and air conditioning of hotel building equipment. This includes operations of a central heating plant utilizing steam and/or hot water for tempering or heating building. Provides excellent customer service to create a comfortable environment in which to study, teach and learn at Hotel.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
You are required to work a 48 hours per weekYou are required to take 15 minutes breakfast half an hour for lunch each day at the Staff canteen 15 minutes tea break half an hour for dinnerYou are required to take proper care of all material and tool.Service, repair, and/or propose replacement of gas furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, electric furnaces, packaged terminal units, ductless split systems, humidification and dehumidification equipment, electronic air cleaners and air purification systems.Troubleshoot, adapt, and resolve/repair all issues to keep equipment functioning properly.Test each system after service/repair is complete to ensure the system is functioning properly.Perform proper inspection of customer systems to prevent future issues.Explain to customers each service and repair performed.Assess systems and assist the customer in making a buying decision through detailed education of system needs as well as a thorough cost/benefit analysis of purchasing a new system.Inspect area for cleanliness after job completion.Wearing only company-approved apparelFollowing safety policies and proceduresAbiding by all standards of performance and code of ethicsMaintaining a courteous demeanour with all customers and associatesRespecting the customer’s propertyParticipate in company-sponsored training classes.You are required to keep your working environment clean and tidy free from all potential hazardShould be able to implement and follow preventive maintenance on the HVACR unitsShould be able to manage the stock levelShould have proper control and monitoring of the tools, equipment and materials to complete the job in a safe and efficient manner.Carries out for the correct operation and maintenance for HVACR systems (extractors, air condition, cold room, freezer etc…).Perform preventive maintenance and direct maintenance to all HVACR system.Follow plans and specification to install and service the unitsInstall parts such as Compressor, motor, condenser, evaporator, air filters, .switches and gauges and copper lines for gas, refrigerant, compressed air and chilled waterAttach pipe line to AC and check the leakage of the system.Work with other department, the jobs get do be done,Check that the part are lined up and fit properly.Fill system with gas or fluid and test foe leaksRemove test gas or fluid using vacuum pumps and fill these with refrigerant in accordance with regulation and governing procedures.Test the unit and make adjustments to make sure that it work correctlyYou will be required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other related duties as assigned by the management. Sound knowledge in HVACR systemCertificate/diploma in related fieldKnowledge in basic health and safety related to this field and you are required to abide to.
