We're looking for an experienced and visionary Chief Accountant to join our organization in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee all accounting operations and serve as a strategic financial partner to senior management. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical accounting expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity and compliance with Saudi Arabia's regulatory requirements.
Oversee and manage all daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, fixed asset management, and bank reconciliationsPrepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and Saudi regulatory requirementsEnsure full compliance with Saudi tax regulations, statutory reporting obligations, and internal financial policiesDirect and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes with meticulous attention to detail and efficiencyMonitor cash flow, analyze budgets, and track financial performance to support informed business decision-makingCoordinate internal and external audits, respond to audit findings, and implement corrective actions transparentlyDevelop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracyReview journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports to guarantee accuracy and completenessSupervise, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff, fostering professional development and high performance standardsSupport the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing analytical insights to guide strategic planningIdentify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices that enhance organizational efficiencyCollaborate with management and cross-functional teams by providing comprehensive financial analysis and strategic recommendationsEnsure organizational compliance with all applicable financial regulations and company policies Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldProfessional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent qualification (preferred)Saudi Certified Public Accountant (SCBA) certification or equivalent Saudi regulatory qualificationMinimum of 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience in increasingly responsible rolesAt least 3 years of demonstrated experience in a supervisory or managerial accounting positionComprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, taxation, and internal control frameworksProven expertise with ERP systems and modern accounting software platformsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting toolsStrong understanding of Saudi Arabia's accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirementsDemonstrated ability to manage month-end and year-end closing processes effectivelyExperience coordinating internal and external audits and managing audit responsesExcellent leadership and team management skills with a track record of developing accounting professionalsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insightsExceptional organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detailExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilitiesExperience with strategic financial planning and forecastingDemonstrated commitment to transparency, compliance, and ethical financial practices Your team and working environment:
