About this role

The Security Officer will ensure security procedures and protocols are followed and verify that tasks assigned to security colleagues are completed correctly during their respective shifts. Their duties will include, but are not limited to;

Provide guidance and support to security officers through coaching and counselling to maintain professional standardsReport and prevent criminal activity on hotel property whilst maintaining a visible security presence. Conduct regular security patrols and inspections throughout the hotel premises to identify potential vulnerabilities and security risks.Monitor and respond to CCTV systems and security equipment, ensuring all systems are functioning optimally.Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies, taking appropriate action to protect guests, staff, and propertyMaintain detailed and accurate incident reports and documentation in accordance with company procedures and legal requirements.Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, providing relevant information and co-operating fully with investigations.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations across all areas of the hotelTrain, mentor, and supervise junior security staff to develop their skills and maintain consistent service standardsConduct access control procedures and manage visitor check-in processes to maintain secure premises.Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by Management. High School Education with a minimum of 3 CXC certificatesAt least 3 years previous experience in Security or related field requiredValid Security Officer Licence or equivalent professional security qualificationFirst Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months of employment)Demonstrated experience in security supervision or team leadershipKnowledge of CCTV systems, access control, and security equipment operationExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishAbility to produce detailed and accurate incident reports and documentationPhysical fitness and ability to perform regular patrols and respond to emergencies Experience working in hospitality or hotel security environmentsTraining in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniquesKnowledge of health, safety, and security regulations and compliance standardsExperience liaising with law enforcement and emergency services WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU:
