About this role
We are seeking a visionary and inspiring General Manager to lead the Novotel (Peppers) Barossa Valley Resort in South Australia's Barossa Valley. This is a pivotal leadership position where you will oversee all aspects of resort operations, drive strategic initiatives, and deliver exceptional guest and employee experiences while maintaining financial performance and operational excellence. As General Manager, you will be responsible for setting the vision, building and motivating a high-performing team, and ensuring the resort operates at the highest standards of hospitality.
Provide strategic leadership and direction for all resort operations and functions, including rooms, food and beverage, and recreational facilities.Develop and execute business strategies to achieve revenue targets, optimize profitability, and drive sustainable growthOversee budget planning, financial forecasting, and P&L management to ensure fiscal responsibility and operational efficiencyLead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of department heads and staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvementEnsure consistent delivery of exceptional guest experiences through quality assurance programs and service standards aligned with brand expectationsManage relationships with key stakeholdersMonitor market trends, competitive positioning, and guest feedback to identify opportunities for innovation and service enhancementOversee capital projects, including the refurbishment and rebranding projects, and resource allocation to optimize asset performanceRepresent the resort at industry events, community functions, and corporate meetings to enhance brand visibility and reputation A minimum of 5 years of senior management experience in the hotel industryProven track record of successfully managing hotel/resort operations and delivering outstanding financial resultsDemonstrated success in driving the commercial performance of the business and delivering on KPIsPassionate to develop self and othersClear communication, creating impactful relationships with your teamFosters a positive owner relationship while maximising performanceSuccessful project management including execution and delivery About the Peppers Brand
