About this role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and strategic Assistant Director of People & Culture to join our team in Swissotel Resort El Qusier, Egypt. In this pivotal role, you will partner with senior leadership to develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive people strategies that drive organizational success, foster colleague engagement, and ensure full compliance with local and international employment regulations. As a collaborative leader with strong analytical capabilities, you will champion our culture of inclusivity, support, and continuous improvement while managing the day-to-day operations of our People & Culture department.

Collaborate with senior leadership to align people and culture initiatives with organizational goals, staffing strategies, and talent retention objectivesPlan, develop, coordinate, and implement HR policies, processes, training programs, and engagement initiatives that support organizational mission and strategic prioritiesAdminister and oversee key People & Culture programs including compensation and benefits, performance management, talent development, recognition initiatives, occupational health and safety, and compliance mattersIdentify staffing and recruiting needs; develop and execute best practices for talent acquisition, onboarding, and retentionConduct thorough research and analysis of organizational trends, metrics, and data from HRIS or talent management systems to inform strategic decision-makingMonitor and ensure organizational compliance with Egyptian employment laws, international labor standards, and recommended best practices; proactively review and modify policies to maintain complianceManage the People & Culture budget effectively, including benefits administration, labor and salary reporting, and cost-effective program planningBuild authentic relationships with colleagues and leaders, demonstrating empathy and understanding while supporting their professional development and well-beingAssist departmental leaders and senior managers in developing action plans to address colleague feedback and organizational challengesFacilitate administration of leave of absence, disability claims, and other statutory requirements in accordance with local legislationCommunicate clearly with all colleagues regarding benefit eligibility, enrollment, and program participationDemonstrate resilience and decisiveness when managing complex HR matters, escalated situations, and sensitive confidential informationSupport leaders in understanding and implementing any applicable collective bargaining agreementsPerform additional duties as assigned to support organizational objectives **Required Experience & Education:**

Minimum 4 years of professional experience in a Human Resources leadership or management capacityBachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management, Organizational Development, or a related fieldDemonstrated experience working in hospitality, international business, or similar customer-focused industriesSolid understanding of Egyptian employment laws and international labor regulationsExperience managing HR functions in both unionized and non-unionized environments**Required Skills & Competencies:**

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Familiarity with HRIS software platforms and talent management systemsExceptional analytical and data interpretation skills with ability to translate metrics into actionable insightsStrong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilitiesExcellent conflict-resolution and mediation skills with high emotional intelligenceOutstanding written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to diverse audiencesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and maintain attention to detailStrong financial acumen with understanding of budgeting, cost analysis, and financial planningProject management and change management experienceAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment with sensitive informationCollaborative and inclusive leadership style with genuine passion for supporting colleague development**Preferred Qualifications:**

Experience in international or multicultural HR environmentsKnowledge of compensation and benefits administrationExperience with performance management systems and talent development programsFamiliarity with occupational health and safety compliance frameworks
