As an IT Technician, you will help ensure the hotel’s systems operate securely, reliably, and efficiently. Your support and attention to detail will help protect data, maintain compliance with security protocols, and keep our team equipped with the tools they need to succeed.
Reporting to the Area IT Manager, your duties include, but are not limited to:
Consistently provide professional, engaging, and friendly serviceLead and manage the hotel’s daily IT operations while ensuring all standards are upheldFollow all company IT Security Policies related to hardware, software, and data protectionMaintain and monitor Barracuda Cloud backupsSupport and maintain end‑user workstationsProvide support for standalone hotel systems, including network‑connected systems, POS systems, interfaces, file servers, and UPS devicesMaintain and manage user accounts within Active DirectoryManage access requests through the corporate grant/revoke ticketing systemEnsure all software installations comply with licensing requirementsTroubleshoot day‑to‑day IT issues for colleaguesAssist with planning and implementing infrastructure changes, upgrades, and system modificationsImplement network security standards set by corporate guidelinesOversee administration and maintenance of the company’s LANOversee administration of the company’s WANSupport troubleshooting, system backups, archiving, and disaster recovery processes, providing expert assistance when neededCollaborate with project teams to support implementation of internal systemsOversee local help desk operations and respond to escalated issuesMaintain tracking and monitoring softwareCommunicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve IT concerns in a timely mannerEnsure company assets are used and maintained responsiblyBalance operational tasks with administrative responsibilities and colleague needsFollow all departmental and safety policiesPerform other duties as assigned Degree in Computer Engineering or a minimum of four years of practical IT experienceAbility to provide after‑hours supportCompTIA A+ certification (an asset)Microsoft certification (preferred)Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy structures (preferred)Understanding of TCP/IP networkingPrevious hotel IT experience is an asset, but not requiredStrong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsExcellent problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detailReliable, responsible, and highly attentive to accuracy and security What’s in it for you:
