Maintenance Assistant
Join our team as a Maintenance Assistant and help keep our hotel running smoothly. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in their work, and has a genuine can-do attitude.
Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager you will be working across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities, you'll be responsible for completing general repairs, preventative maintenance, and ensuring the hotel is safe, functional, and well-presented for our guests and team members.
What you'll be doing:
Carrying out general maintenance and repair work throughout the hotelCompleting preventative maintenance tasks and inspectionsAssisting with basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry workResponding to maintenance requests in a timely mannerMaintaining a safe working environment and following Health & Safety proceduresBuilding positive relationships with team members and guests Key Requirements
Previous handyman or maintenance experience.Basic skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.Ability to follow Health & Safety procedures.Strong communication and organisational skills.Ability to multitask and prioritise workloads.Good level of physical fitness and professional presentation.Positive can-do attitude and guest-focused approach.Flexible to work weekends and public holidays as required.Key Responsibilities
Complete general maintenance and repair work.Carry out preventative maintenance and complete maintenance tasklists.Respond to maintenance requests promptly.Maintain guest rooms, equipment, and hotel facilities.Build positive relationships with guests and colleagues across the hotel.
