Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Outlet Maitre’ D/Manager & Director of Food & Beverage, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Consistently offer professional, engaging and proactive guest service while supporting fellow ColleaguesDemonstrate Fairmont core values in all interactionsGreet guests in a welcoming manner, escort them to their assigned table and provide menus to each guestAssist guests regarding food and beverage menu items in an informative and helpful mannerMaintain and stock menus before each shiftEnsure work area is maintained in a neat and visually pleasing mannerDevelop knowledge of all menu items, ingredients and preparation methodsDevelop an understanding of F&B Server’s tasks in the outletDevelop an understanding of shift end reports and the POS systemFollow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverageFollow and ensure compliance with all corporate, hotel and departmental policies and proceduresParticipate in hotel committeesStrict adherence to all Health & Safety training, guidelines and work practices previous, during and following an epidemic (whether local or global) that are established by Accor, local government, international bodies including the World Health Organization (WHO) and Center for disease control (CDC)Perform any other duties, tasks, and assignments within your department as required. Qualifications:
Previous service experience is strongly preferredPrevious Point of Sale System experience is an assetAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesExcellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills are requiredProven ability to work efficiently in a demanding and fast paced environmentStrong work ethic, highly responsible, reliable and the ability to work shifts, extended hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays is required Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
