About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to provide hands-on support to our electrical and mechanical engineering teams working on our hearing aid devices. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with both electrical and mechanical components, has hands-on soldering and small-device assembly experience, and enjoys tackling a wide range of technical tasks in a fast-moving environment.

This position is full-time on-site in our New York City office.

ResponsibilitiesAssist electrical and mechanical engineers with a variety of hands-on technical tasks related to our hearing aid devices

Build, modify, and rework hearing aid devices and components to support engineering and product development

Perform soldering, wiring, mechanical assembly, and rework as needed

Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and validation of devices and components

Support the development and implementation of test equipment

Support the development and implementation of test plans

Assemble production devices as needed

Support documentation, including SOPs and technical procedures

Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and quality standards

Minimum qualificationsHigh-school diploma; associate degree or equivalent experience

Required SkillsHands-on experience in soldering (wires, not SMT)

Proficiency in working with small devices and components

General mechanical aptitude and comfort using basic hand tools

Ability to work independently and manage a variety of tasks

Strong work ethic, flexibility, and resourcefulness

Effective communication and collaboration skills

Comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment

Preferred SkillsExperience working with medical devices

Basic programming skills

Solid modeling skills

Experience with device testing, troubleshooting, or product development
