Job summary
The inpatient ward is a 14 bedded ward offering treatment to patients who are resident in the West Yorkshire area.
The service offers inpatient assessment and treatment for patients with an eating disorder.The ward works closely with the CONNECT Community Team to provide seamless care.
Our aims are to manage significant physical risk and to manage this effectively.Offer a variety of evidence based psychological therapies and practical interventions. This will be in the form of individual sessions, and group work, all offered and led by all members of the MDT.
Our care is person centred, and care planning is individualised to meet patient need.
You will be responsible for being part of a care team and carrying out interventions with supervision from the clinical team to support a patient's on-going recovery.

A period of induction, training and support will be offered. We are keen to hear from candidates who have a genuine interest and empathy in working with individuals with eating disorders and associated complex needs.
Specific training will be provided where necessary.
The service is committed to individuals own personal CPD and you will be supported through the Trusts supervision and appraisal systems.

Qualifications Essential
Holds an NVQ2 Qualification or equivalent.
Skills Essential
Demonstrates having an understanding of eating disorders and treatment.
Experience Essential
Has experience of working with patients with eating disorders, worked on a CAMHS unit or mental health ward.
Knowledge Essential
Demonstrates a good understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a HSW.
