About this role
Job summary
To work as part of the Healthcare team, providing administrative support, ensuring safe working practice in a secure environment in accordance with the Prison Healthcare Standard, Prison Service rules and Prison service Standing Orders.
The post holder will work in close liaison with other disciplines within the prison setting and with external agencies in arranging appointments to meet patient care.
The post holder will be fully integrated within a team of multi-disciplinary individuals.
The role will involve working at times without direct supervision, undertaking delegated tasks and reporting back to the line manager.
The post holder will actively participate in the ongoing development of positive working relationships with officers and staff throughout the prison.
Please note this post is subject to security vetting. To be considered for this post you will need to have continuously resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 years prior to this application and be able to evidence your years of residency.
Main duties of the job
Booking clinics and managing clinicians' ledgers
Allocating caseloads for new referrals and reviews
Maintaining local data bases and S1 waiting lists
Inputting data into local and national data bases
Support the service in collating patient feedback, complaints and compliments
Sending correspondence to residents under direction from clinical or leadership team
Placing procurement requests required by the teams
Take minutes in clinical and operational meetings
To use Microsoft Office programmes, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Security Vetting Essential
Application evidences 3 years of continuous UK residency
Skills and abilities Essential
Can demonstrate good communication skills both written and verbal Ability to work under pressure, prioritising and managing own workload Managing an unpredictable work stream on a daily basis.

Previous experience of working in a prison or secure environment.

Good level of general education NVQ LEVEL 3 in business administration Working knowledge of systmone Experience of collating and inputting data.
