CLERICAL OFFICER (Band 2)

HMP BERWYN, WREXHAM, NORTH WALES - 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK

Main duties of the job

To provide a comprehensive reception and clerical service for the health and wellbeing team as part of a multidisciplinary team in the co-ordination, provision and delivery of an effective high quality health & wellbeing service to the men at HMP Berwyn.

Undertake efficient reception duties e.g. answering the phone, receiving people at reception and when people arrive in the department. Process key information, actively updating clinical and electronic records and systems. Print off clinic list for next day's clinics for use by practitioners to enable smooth running of clinics. Orders standard stock items, office equipment, stationary etc. e.g. create/ confirms oracle order.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications Essential

GCSE English and Maths Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Experience Essential

Experience of working in an office dealing with patients/service users Good organisation and time management skills Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
