THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 9 MONTHS DUE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE.

There has arisen an unique opportunity for an enthusiastic Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse Reviewer to join the West CHC Team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage on behalf of the West Area the implementation, monitoring and reviewing of NHS Funded Registered Nursing Care (FNC), Continuing NHS Health Care (CHC) and Section 117 in Care Homes (Nursing) and in the domiciliary setting to ensure patients receive care of a quality which meets best practice and national standards as prescribed and funded by the NHS. The post holder will work closely with the CHC Team Manager , Home Managers and with both BCU and the Local Authorities contracts Team.

Main duties of the job

The Continuing Health Care Team West, have an opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join the OPMH Continuing Health Care team in the West area. in Gwynedd / Mon. The post holder will manage on behalf of the West Area the implementation, monitoring and reviewing of NHS Funded Registered Nursing Care (FNC) and Continuing NHS Health Care (CHC) and Section 117 in Care Homes (Nursing) and in the domiciliary setting to ensure patients receive care of a quality which meets best practice and national standards as prescribed and funded by the NHS

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications Essential

Qualification - Professional Registration with Nursing & Midwifery Council. Degree or equivalent level of experience in health. Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development.

Desirable

Qualification - Working towards a degree level of qualification.

Qualifications Essential

Degree or or equivalent level of experience in health.

Desirable

Teaching and assessing qualification or equivalent experience.

Experience Essential

Knowledge and experience of NHS Funded Nursing Care arrangements and NHS Continuing Health Care within relevant field.

Desirable

Experience of working in Acute/Community Settings.

Skills Essential

Excellent oral/written communication skills.

Desirable

Ability to speak Welsh or willingness to achieve an appropriate level of oral competence.

Knowledge Essential

Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.

Understanding of relevant current NHS and Social care mechanisms and their application to prevailing strategies.
