Main duties of the job The Senior Care Assistant will support the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care and maintain a safe, supportive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities include monitoring residents' wellbeing, participating in person-centred care planning, supporting medication requirements, supervising staff, and liaising with residents' relatives and health professionals. Avery values a caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable approach in all aspects of work. The ideal candidate will have an NVQ 3 in care, 2 years' experience in a similar environment, effective communication skills, and a positive attitude towards supporting residents and staff.

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation. Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations. Supporting residents with their medication requirements. Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required. Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Our ideal candidatemust:

Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes. Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment. Have the ability tocommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Have a positive attitude to bothsupporting and nurturing residents and staff. Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Qualifications Essential

NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, 2 years experience in similar care environment, effective communication skills, positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
