Job summary
The Knares Medical Practice is looking for a reliable and experienced Locum GP to join their busy practice, covering Fridays 9:30-6:00 including an unpaid lunch break 1-2pm - hours may vary depending on practice needs. There will also be the opportunity to work additional variable days as needed.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality primary care services to our patient population while working collaboratively with the wider practice team.
Main duties of the job
Provide high-quality, patient-centred clinical care to registered patients.Conduct face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations as required.Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions in line with clinical guidelines.Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with NHS and practice policies.Maintain accurate, contemporaneous patient records using the practice clinical system.Participate in safeguarding and follow relevant protocols where necessary.Liaise with other healthcare professionals and external agencies when appropriate.Support continuity of care and contribute to safe clinical decision-making.The role may include a mixture of routine appointments, urgent consultations, and administrative tasks related to patient care.

Person Specification
Experience Essential
Evidence of indemnity cover. Experience working in UK General Practice. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
Qualifications Essential
Fully qualified GP with GMC registration Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate) Be on the NHSE medical performers list
