ABOUT THE ROLE Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities will include: Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation. Being involved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
Main duties of the job As a Senior Care Assistant, your main responsibility will be to support and work alongside the Care team to provide high standards of personal care, creating a safe and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will monitor the wellbeing of residents, ensure care plans are up-to-date, and be involved in person-centred care planning. Additional duties include supporting residents with medication, supervising and developing staff, and being a point of contact for residents and their families. Your role will require a compassionate and dedicated approach, with the ability to communicate effectively and remain flexible in covering a range of responsibilities.

Our ideal candidatemust:
Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes. Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment. Have the ability tocommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Have a positive attitude to bothsupporting and nurturing residents and staff. Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Qualifications Essential
The ideal candidate must have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, as well as 2 years experience working in a similar care environment. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, a positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff, and a responsive and flexible approach are essential.
