About this role
We work the national and international partners to promote and ensure public safety for Canadians during the transportation of dangerous goods. When a dangerous goods transportation incident occurs, we oversee the emergency response measures taken, to ensure they are done in a timely, safe, appropriate, and coordinated manner. You will receive frequent technical training and regularly interact with industry responders. Duties include reviewing Emergency Response Assistance Plans (ERAPs), assessing response capabilities of responders, participating in public outreach and engagement events, and attending and developing exercises.
